First and foremost, I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

I know a lot of us have been trying to keep busy during the Covid-19 pandemic and with a lot of people out of work, maybe you're looking for something new and fun to do. I am super excited to announce I am going to host FREE ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES!

For us parents, I know it's definitely been a challenge sometimes to keep the kids occupied. Between doing school work and having some play time, we know it's been difficult to keep up with our daily routines and responsibilities.

Even though we may not be working, life is as crazy as ever. Let's find some time to take a minute and just breathe. The world keeps moving and that also means the family memories don't stop either.

As a photographer and a parent, I have noticed I have taken less personal family photos then I did before we started to quarantine ourselves. I don't know if you feel the same, but I have recently taken a step back to realize this and really making a major effort to get back to it. Even if it's with the camera on my cell phone, taking photos is really something we should be doing.

Why though? Why does photography need us?

When the time comes we can go back to work and our "normal" daily routines we are used to, we are going to look back on this time and wish we had taken more advantage of our time. Being creative, doing something to remember the time, and watching how our families grow through the process. Let's face it, as much as we may not want to admit it, this is history and we should be documenting our families to tell stories later in life.

Photography is all about storytelling. This is a perfect opportunity to take advantage, learn, and create these memories for the future.

But why now? It's so bad out there, why would I want to remember a time like this?

Whether it's a good time or bad time, they're memories. Everything that has happened in the past, whether it was good or bad, has been documented. It's all part of our history, and in this case, our families history. Remember, we can make these photographs into good memories.

I have a 17 month year old daughter. By taking photos now, I will be able to share these stories through the photgraphs with her when she's older. When she grows up, she can then tell her kids about how their grandparents raised her through a pandemic and created happy memories for her, all with the photographs.

Even though this pandemic may (or may not) be for an extended period of time, it's still happening. This is how history is created. Why not document this history in photographs and make good memories out of it?

During this time, I will be hosting FREE PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES through the ZOOM app.

This is 100% completely FREE to you and it doesn't matter what kind of camera you have. I will be going over all things technically that make a photograph as well as give tips and tricks on how to achieve great photographs and what to do with them after you take them - even if you have nothing but a cell phone to take photos with.

During the classes, there will also be question and answer time for any of your photography related questions.
